The founders
Silvia Biscaia
Lawyer, entrepreneur, and visual artist. For over two decades, she led as CEO the hospitality and luxury real estate operations of an international group in the Algarve, including the management of an award-winning five-star resort and a premium real estate agency. It was there she personally curated art and interiors for dozens of premium units, from suites to high-end villas, and discovered the void between inaccessible gallery originals and forgettable catalogue reproductions. Sensorial Atelier was built to fill it.
Sérgio Ferreira
Hospitality manager with over a decade leading operations at an award-winning five-star resort in the Algarve, and head of a luxury real estate agency in the same market. He lived daily the challenge of keeping every space, from guest rooms to lobbies, from villas to premium apartments. worthy of the promise made to guests and buyers. He knows what wears down, what demands constant attention, what fails to hold up under real use, and the frustration of art that neither endures nor represents. At Sensorial Atelier, he brings the rare perspective of someone who knows what a space needs before it opens its doors, and what stops working six months later.
Together, over twelve years and more than two hundred destinations, they built the visual archive and aesthetic sensibility that shape the studio's language.
the craft
Curation
No two spaces are alike. We curate from sensorial original collections, or conceive entirely new works for the specific light, scale and identity of your project. A single bedroom. An entire resort. A five-metre lobby wall that needs to stop every guest in their tracks. The collection adapts. The vision remains.
Production
Every work is produced by WhiteWall® Germany, the world's most awarded fine art laboratory. Eight TIPA World Awards for Best Photo Lab. Trusted by galleries, museums and collectors across five continents. Their mastery is absolute: colour fidelity that reproduces every nuance of the original file, archival pigment inks that hold true across decades, UV-resistant surfaces engineered for the harshest hospitality environments, lobbies in full sun, corridors under halogen, spa rooms with constant humidity. The iprecision craftsmanship at industrial scale.
Format
The substrate is not a detail, it is a creative decision. Fine art paper on aluminium Dibond reveals every brushstroke with the intimacy of a drawing. Six-millimetre acrylic glass gives a colour field the luminous depth of stained glass, a window into pure atmosphere. ChromaLuxe aluminium makes pigment vibrate against brushed metal, alive under changing light. Canvas brings warmth and tactile presence to quieter, more intimate spaces. From thirty centimetres to five metres, from a bedside print to a monumental lobby installation, we match each work to the medium that transforms it.
Finishing
For select projects, the work doesn't end at delivery. We offer on-site hand-finishing , varnish, texture, and mixed media applied directly to the piece once installed, responding to the specific light and character of the space. This final layer transforms a museum-grade print into a singular object. It is where production ends and authorship begins again.
Exclusivity
Every artwork assigned to a project is exclusive to that space. Once placed, it is permanently retired from the collection. Never repeated. Never reproduced
