Algarve cliff-top flora in full detail,  sea holly with its steely blue globes, pink sea stock, white-flowering cistus, tough coastal grasses, all growing from golden limestone above turquoise ocean. The composition is lush and specific: this is not generic Mediterranean but unmistakably the Algarve's cliff-top garrigue, the thin strip of wild vegetation between cultivated land and the sea. The palette is intense: turquoise, gold, green, blue-grey, and the pink of sea stock against limestone.
